Some great clips Matt. What in the world is that "bi-ped" creature walking on the ocean floor?

The little walking fish has stumped all of us. It is about 1/2 the size of your fist and would drop down to look like a rock when other fish swam past.
The whale sharks are all around the platforms in Indonesia. They frighten the crap out of divers working at night!
I had other clips of turtles etc to go in also but didn't want it to go so long. (1st track of War of the Worlds goes for 8 mins!)

We have been trying to get the company to buy a LYYN unit for us also out here but they said they can only supply them for the inspection guys, not the guys who fly the ROV. They are in another room all together downstairs so we don't get to see that. It is funny when the inspection guys call up and say 'can we get a closer look at the damage on the platform leg' and all of us look at each other and say 'What platform leg??". It is only 2m in front of us with the sonar and they can see it through the LYYN system but we can't! The guys actually wanted to chip in and buy one ourselves.

Nice video! It's a shame the powers that be don't realize that it's more important for the pilot that is flying to see than it is for the inspectors... Speaking from experience, the LYYN Hawkboard has made the difference between success and failure on several jobs.

good to hear that the LYYN unit is working well for you. It might be possible to connect to the inspectors video so you can see what they see. But the easiest way is to get a unit direcly connected to the ROV of course.

Narative: A beautiful Sunday afternoon, flying off the back of my companies boat. Visibility was fantastic and we were basically flying around practicing operations in confined spaces. So several vessels over from the boat we were on was a charter boat that was just leaving to take some people out for a day of fishing. Right before he left he dumped some extra bait overboard and took off. The video in this post was taken within five minutes of the fishing boat's departure.
It was definitely fun getting to see how competitive eating has a whole new meaning when you see it underwater!!!
